How to buy tickets

Booking tickets for a game at Hamburg is always a good idea - you don't want to go all that way and find the game sold out. The Germans are pretty slow at buying tickets, whch means tickets are normally available until the last few days when they all disappear. This can be a bit distressing if you are stuck 600 miles away...

The buying process is very easy. As long as you can understand German! To help out fans who aren't so linguistically talented, I have put together this little step-by-step guide. It should work ok.....

From the home page, select the icon Tickets at the top left hand of the page

Find the match you want to visit, then click where it says Bestellen next to that match

This shows a plan of the stadium. And the number of free places in each stand. Simply click on which ever stand you want to buy tickets for. In general, the Nordtribune and Sudtribune are cheaper.

Once you have chosen your stand, you will have a choice of which block to sit in. Numbers ending in A are the lower tier, B+C are the upper tier

Now you can choose your seat. The box marked “Anzahl Tickets” is the quantity of tickets, this is sometimes restricted to a certain number. Once you have confirmed how many tickets you want, click on a seat and the system will include adjacent seats up to the number you require. If there are only individual seats available you will only be able to buy 1 ticket. Don’t worry, you can add further tickets later on.

The seats you have booked will now be listed, along with the price. If you are buying concession tickets, you can amend the screen by using the drop down menu. (Kind is a child)

If you want to buy more tickets (perhaps for another block) press Andere platze wahlen, otherwise click on Weiter zur buchung

This will show your entire booking. The Versandkosten is the booking and postage fee. Again if you wish to book more tickets, press Weitere Tickets auswahlen, if you wish to cancel the tickets you have selected, click on the Storno box next to the tickets, if you want to proceed to complete the order, select

Gewahlte tickets buchen

Assuming you are not already registered, fill out this form.

Anrede is title,

Vorname is christian name,

Name is Surname,

Strasse, Nr is Street, Number,

PLZ is postcode,

Ort is Town,

Land is country (Great Britain is GrossBritanien, Ireland is Irland),

Geburtstag is date of birth,

Telefon is phone number

email is …. well, email.

You will also need to give youself a Benutzername (a username) and a passwort.(password).

Type the password in again where it says Wiederholen.

Add a simple question (in English) in the box Passwortfrage and

the answer where it says Passwortantwort

Then click on Anmelden to proceed

Here you can change your delivery address or your payment address, assuming you don’t want to change these, press Weiter

Unless you have a german bank account, you should choose the box marked,

O Ja ich mochte per kreditkarte bezahlen

And then press Weiter

Enter your credit card details. Ablaufdatum is expiry date, kartennummer is Card Number, Kartenprufziffer is the 3-digit number on the back. Then press Weiter

Confirm your details. If you wish to change anything click on Daten Korrigen. Once you are happy, tick the box at the bottom, and press Tickets Buchen. Warning: Only press it ONCE!!!

From here your order will be confirmed. You will then receive an email and in a week or so, the postman will deliver a shiny envelope with your HSV tickets inside.
